Starfish AP is looking for a skilled and compassionate Teacher to deliver personalised learning across our Hampshire settings.

You will work with children and young people aged 7–16 who may have found it difficult to engage with mainstream education, helping them rebuild confidence, experience success and reconnect with learning.

About the role

Working in small, calm environments, you will plan and deliver manageable learning that reflects each learner’s starting point, interests, needs and agreed goals.

• Plan and deliver personalised English, maths and wider learning activities.
• Support learners to work towards appropriate outcomes, including AQA Unit Award Scheme opportunities.
• Assess progress, maintain clear records and contribute to regular reports.
• Create predictable routines while adapting content and pace to the individual.
• Work closely with mentors, families, schools, local authorities and other professionals.
• Use relationship-first and trauma-informed practice to support engagement and regulation.

About you

You will be a qualified or suitably experienced teacher with a strong understanding of inclusive education. Experience of alternative provision, SEND or SEMH would be valuable. You will be patient, creative and able to maintain high expectations without losing sight of the individual young person.
